Book Discussion: Waking Up White

This event is organized by STRIDE and it is for: Members of the community who have read Waking Up White, available on the free Hoopla app via a Scituate Library account. FREE print copies available as a result of generous financial support from the St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the CORSE Foundation made these free copies available for our community! With thanks to local independent bookstore, Buttonwood Books & Toys, for securing this high-demand title and providing a discount.

We are out of loaner books but to get on list for a possible Round 2 Book Discussion in November, please add your contact info HERE

This book discussion is directly related to STRIDE's commitment to discussion time for individual thoughts and experiences and facilitating opportunities for individuals to independently and/or collectively broaden their understanding, perspectives, and knowledge.

STRIDE's mission states: Give visibility to and increase awareness of issues related to diversity and discrimination through educational opportunities. It is essential that while staying attuned to racial interactions and occurrences around us, we commit to personal education on race issues.
