Traces of the Trade: A Story From the Deep North

  • St. Luke’s Episcopal Church 465 First Parish Road Scituate, MA, 02066 United States (map)

This event is organized by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church.

Traces of the Trade is an award-winning documentary of the largest slave trading family in America, the DeWolf family of Rhode Island.  This film follows the history of the slave triangle and how it enriched this white family.

Dain Perry, a descendant and Episcopal Church member, and his wife Constance Perry (a descendant of slaves from Virginia and North Carolina), will also lead an engaging conversation about racism past and present in New England.
