We will be joined by a small panel of guests who will speak about the role of advocacy in their decision-making. Each panelist will share:
What is the most effective way for a constituent to advocate for a position?
An example of an issue that they personally changed their mind on based on constituent advocacy
There will also be 10 minutes for open Q&A with meeting attendees.
Panelists will include:
Scituate School Committee member Nicole Brandolini
Scituate Superintendent of Schools William Burkhead,
Town of Scituate Selectperson Karen Canfield, and
State Representative (4th Plymouth) Patrick Kearny (or Legislative Aide Katie Baxter).
Our goal in offering this discussion is to help STRIDE members learn about different kinds effective advocacy.
